Currently, we have a total of 171 students in the program. Our target is 60 students each year to meet our 5-year goal of 300 in 2026.
Some of our KPIs include faculty-to-student ratio, student intake per year, retention rate, student satisfaction, and completion rate.
A big part of the education in nursing is the clinical practice in which the students can work alongside other nurses who will precept them hence the preceptorship program was developed and implemented for the first time in JUMC this past year.
Another aspect of the training had to do with the safety of the patients. In which a patient identification system was implemented as it is a must for the safety of the patients and is the first goal in the international Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) known internationally.
