Public Lecture on “Care for mental health patients and physical assessment”.

Mohammed Abazinab, a renowned clinical educator from Calgary (Canada), who is currently is a lecturer at Bowvally College and is working for Bethany Care Society, made a public lecture on the topic “Care for mental health patients and physical assessment” to staffs and students of Jimma Institute of health (JIH) and other academics of Jimma University on Wednesday 9 Jan 2019 at the conference hall in JIH. 

Originally from Jimma, Mentina sub-city, Mohammed Abazinab has lived and worked in Calgary, Canada for 20 years. He has acquired MSc in Educational Leadership and has been awarded “the 2014 clinical educator of the year” and the 2015 nominee of leader of the year in clinical education. He is working as team leader for clinical education and is certified mental health coach. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The public lecture proceeded in an interesting manner in which every participant followed enthusiastically and raised questions for more clarification. Earlier on 8 Jan 2019, he unveiled his plan and commitment for linking Jimma University with Canadian universities for collaboration in areas of student exchange, joint projects and related joint initiatives during a brief meeting he held with the acting president of Jimma University, Mr. Kora Tushune.
