Call for contributions!!

School of Law of Jimma University would like to invite all interested individuals to contribute for the 10th Issue of Jimma University Journal of Law (JUJL). Contributions should be made as per the following guidelines: 

  1. Nature and Length 

  • Contributions may take the form of Articles, case comments (highly recommended), book reviews, notes, etc on any legal issues.   
  • Scholarly Articles should not exceed 25 pages. For case comments, pages may vary depending on the nature of the case. 

 2. Language  

  •  Submissions could be made in English. However, case comments can be submitted in Amharic. 

3. Citations 

  • To maintain uniformity, contributors are required to follow the OSCOLA rules of citation. 

4. Originality   

  •      Submissions should be original works of the author with proper citations. 
  •      Simultaneous submissions will not be entertained. Contributions submitted for other Journals will be rejected automatically. 

5. Format 

  •    All manuscripts must be typed in 12 font times new Roman and 1.5 spaced.  
  •     Footnotes should be written in 10 font times new Roman and single spaced. 

6. Review  

  • Selection and review of Articles for publication will be made based on the editorial policy of the School. In order to maintain impartiality, you are advised to provide your details (including name, address, profile etc) in a cover letter and keep your anonymity in the content/body of your work. 

7. Compensation 

  • Authors receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which their work appears. No other compensation is paid for articles published.
