The M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance enables the graduate to contribute to the economic development and democratisation of the country by utilising their expertise with the highest degree of professionalism required in the field of accounting and finance. The graduates of this programme can work in higher learning and research institutions as well as in private and government organizations where accounting and reporting, finance, tax and investment experts trained at a higher level are required.

Minimum Admission Requirements
Potential students who would like to gain the MSc in Accounting and Finance must fulfil the following criteria:

  • First degree in accounting, accounting and finance, banking and insurance, banking and finance, business education (accounting, banking and insurance), cooperative accounting and auditing
  • Must pass the entrance examination administered by the Department of Accounting. The exam tests computational, communication and analytical skills, as well as subject matter. 
  • Potential candidates from other fields can also apply on condition that they have taken the first parts of Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting and Financial Management with a minimum grade of C. Any candidate who does not meet any of these requirements should refer to the undergraduate programmes to take the courses specified above.
