JU Hosts Workshop on Scholarly Journal Best Publishing Practices, and back issue content uploading to EJOL

JU Library systems in collaboration with African Journals Online (AJOL) and EJOL hosted a two days workshop for journal editors on online content uploading on OJS and best publishing practices from April 23-24, 2018.

EMBA in Agribusiness, the first of its kind in the horn of Africa is launched by Jimma University and Maastricht School of Management (MSM)

Jimma University in collaboration with Maastricht School of Management (MSM) and Wageningen University conducted inauguration workshop of Executive MBA in Agribusiness on Thursday, April 19,2018 at Saro Maria Hotel in the capital. The Workshop was attended by HE. Dr. Kaba Urgessa, State Minster- Ministry State Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Management, Mr. Frerik Kapman, Aid and Trade office at the Royal Dutch Embassy of Ethiopia  and  the   delegate of the NL Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mrs.

CNS Held Scientific Training Workshop

The College of Natural Sciences (CNS) has conducted a workshop on scientific training for staff researchers and postgraduate students from April 17-18, 2018. 

Public Lecture on “The Challenges of Peace Building” at JU.

Professor Ann M.-Gerald, a renowned scholar from Cranfield University’s Department of Management and Security made a public lecture on the topic “The Challenges of Peace Building: Implications for Ethiopia” to the Senate members, Jimma University community and post-graduate students at the University on Friday, April 20,2018 at the Senate Hall located at the main campus of the University.

The Legacy of Doctor Mei Gengnian: an inspiration to further strengthen cooperation between Ethiopia and China

Jimma University hosted H.E. Mr. Tan Jian, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ethiopia, Ms Liu Yu, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ethiopia and a team from the Embassy on Thursday April 5, 2018. The Ambassador and his team visited Jimma to inaugurate a road in Jimma constructed with the aid of the Chinese government, and to present scholarship awards to Jimma University medical students.

Horn of Africa Journal of Business and Economics (HAJBE) is a biannual peer-reviewed publication of the Business and Economics College, Jimma University. The Journal is aimed at providing an appropriate forum to stimulate publication in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics and related subjects.
