Admission Criteria

The program requires approximately 4 months of didactic training (over two years), 3 months of team-based training with a community based project, and 15.5 months of Executive Practice in students' respective hospitals.

All applicants must have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university or college--field of study could be variable although a health sciences background will be preferable
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in relevant field,
  • Basic computer application skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet research), and
  • All are required to pass an entrance exam designed and administered by Jimma University


How to Apply

All applicants are required to:
  • Complete a MHA application form
    • Provide three letters of recommendation from professors and/or employers
    • Submit a passport size photo
    • Include application fee of Birr 100.
  • If all admission criteria are met, applicants will be invited to sit for the entrance exam in January.
