FBE is committed to promote the advancement of knowledge through Teaching, Research and community services in the area of business and economics. This mission helps the faculty to produce students whose creative, productive, and socially and economically responsible and accountable and are committed to solve socio-economic problems. The triple mandates of the Faculty: Teaching, Research & Community services will focus on the business and economic need of the country. It also takes into account the organic nature of international business environments.
The faculty currently has quite a number of programs falling under two major streams. Applied Business and Economics and Business Education streams. These two major streams have been developed in light of the pending demand in the country for professionals in the area. The faculty thus has more than 60 academic staff and close to 25 administrative personnel engaged in the process and hosts a student body of more than 1000 in the regular stream only.
The faculty of Business and Economics also runs programs in the Continuing and Distance Education and has successfully graduated more than 5 batches of students in this program. Through this program, the faculty will continue to serve the surrounding community and enable development through building the capacities of organizations as well. It will work hard to ensure change for the better, entrepreneurship and growth.
