- BA in educational planning and management (in regular ,summer program and distance program)
- MA in educational leadership ( in both regular and summer program)
The department of teacher education is meant to train professional teachers at post-graduate diploma program. The department has admitted about 400 trainees for the first time starting from Hamle 1, 2011.
The trainees are;
- Post graduate diploma in teaching physics
- Post graduate diploma in teaching chemistry
- Post graduate diploma in teaching English
- Post graduate diploma in teaching civics
- Post graduate diploma in teaching Afan Oromo
- Post graduate diploma in teaching sport science
- Post graduate diploma in teaching math
- Post graduate diploma in teaching biology
The three units under the ADRC are used to provide training for all the staff members in the university on areas such as:
- Instructional Skills for instructors
- Continuous assessment for instructors
- Active learning and teaching approach for instructors
- Module writing training for instructors
- English language skills for academic and non-academic staffs
- Instructional time and classroom management
- Action research and its roles
- Continues professional development
