Curriculum Review Workshop Conducted

Jimma University conducted National Workshop on Curriculum Development of Graduate programs of various Disciplines on July 20-21/2012 at Jimma College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Hall.

School of Graduate studies of the University presented a total of 17 draft curricula for discussion. Most of the curricula, as confirmed by critical reviewers and participants, are need based and essential for the realization of the country’s Development and Transformation Agenda. Curricula of five programe have been endorsed earlier making total draft postgraduate programs 22 for the year achievement.


The major curricula were: MSc in sugarcane Technology, MSc Sugarcane Agronomy, MSc in Physical land Resources Specialization (Soil science), MSc in Animal breeding, Radiology (specialty), Aneshtiology (speciality), MA in Public Management, MSc in Power Engineering MSc in Communication Engineering MSc in physics, LLM in Law , MA in Applied Linguistics, MA in Oromo Folklore Studies MA in Educational psychology. MA in Governance and MA in English Language and Literature.

All these programs will be launched in 2012/13 Academic, year.
